Early Passion, Dedication, Academic and Professional Development

 

From an early age, I cultivated a profound passion for drawing and painting, and it was during these formative years that my true calling as an animator emerged. At the age of 15, I discovered the captivating world of 3D animation software, sparking a lifelong pursuit of creativity and technological exploration. Becoming a skilled animator demanded years of dedicated study and practical experience. I honed my skills during my secondary education at the esteemed Montessori College Science and Technique in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Following that, from 2008 to 2013, I immersed myself in the realm of design and creativity at NHTV University of Applied Sciences in Breda, the Netherlands, specializing in International Game Architecture & Design - 3D Visual Art, laying the foundation for my expertise in the field.

Recognizing the power of collaboration, I began working closely with talented animators, fostering an environment of shared growth and the ability to handle increasingly ambitious projects. This collaboration fueled our progress, enabling us to continuously push boundaries and achieve outstanding results.

Professional Journey

My journey as an animator started in 2011 when I joined the Art and Animation Studio in Prague, Czech Republic. During my time there, I contributed to the Czech feature movie "Goat Story with Cheese."

 

From 2014 to 2017, I served as an Animator and CG Generalist at Studio Eallin in Prague. I was involved in various projects, including the I. and II. series of bedtime stories: "The Smallest Elephant in the World," and created commercial spots for renowned brands such as Cadbury, Cif, Domestos, Electro World, Felix, Gambrinus, Migros, Milkana, Nestlé, and many others.

 

In 2018 and 2019, I took on the role of Remote Senior Animator, CG Generalist, and Head of 3D pipeline for Heaven Labs s.r.o. in Prague. Among the animation and visualization projects, I created the commercials for the product Mana (company Heaven Labs).

 

From 2017 to the present, I've been working as a Freelance Animator and 3D Generalist. My freelance work includes animations for @kristysellars "America's Got Talent" Runner Up, involvement in "The Wingfeather Saga" Animated Series as a CG Generalist, and the creation of commercial spots for various brands such as Mana, Innogy, Klasa, and Česká spořitelna. Additionally, I've provided visualizations and animations for Huqqa, Waste Creative, Bednar, Steyr, CNH, and others.

 

Since 2021, I've also taken up the role of a Lecturer at the University Of Creative Communication (VŠKK) in Prague, where I teach 3D Animation and Visual Effects while working with various animation programs.

 

2021 – present: As my journey continues, I remain dedicated to pursuing excellence in animation and collaborating with passionate individuals to bring imagination to life through our craft. Whether it's creating captivating commercials or contributing to impactful animated series, my team at Studio Jan Zavadil and I are committed to turning visions into resounding successes.
